Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring in the 65th minute when he somehow beat Matt Turner from what seemed an impossible angle. The Brazilian turned provider for Bukayo Saka seven minutes later to double the Arsenal lead.

It looked liked the game was over for Nottingham Forest as Arsenal controlled the game and looked to see out the 90 minutes.
With full time nearing, the returning Taiwo Awoniyi netted for the hosts to put doubt in the minds of Arsenal players and supporters. Awoniyi showed great reactions to smash the ball home and halt the floods of Forest fans heading for the gates.
Despite pushing men forward and pumping balls into the box, Nottingham Forest couldn’t get a second to draw level with Arsenal.
The win for Arsenal takes them to second, just two points behind Liverpool, who have game in hand over them.
For Nottingham Forest, they’re two points above the drop zone and will be nervously looking over their shoulder at the Premier League relegation zone.
