Former Manchester United flop Bebe scored an unbelievable 40-yard free-kick for Cape Verde at AFCON on Friday.
Shortly after smashing one free-kick off the bar and over, Bebe opened the scoring with another long-range dead-ball strike 32 minutes into Cape Verde’s clash with Mozambique.

Who Is Bebe?
Bebe was signed from Vitoria by Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2010, and he is renowned for being one of the club’s worst-ever signings.
Bought for £7.4 million, the Portuguese-born winger made just two Premier League appearances for the club before spending stints on loan at Besiktas, Rio Ave, and Pacos de Ferreira.
In 2014, he joined Benfica on a permanent basis. However, he only made five appearances for the club, and following loans at Cordoba and Rayo Vallecano, he remained in Spain and signed for Eibar in 2016.
Spain is where he started to find his feet, especially when he made the switch to Rayo Vallecano in 2018, for whom he has scored 21 goals.
Bebe At AFCON
Now, despite representing Portugal at under-21 level, Bebe has fired Cape Verde through to the last 16 of AFCON, where they are the first team to advance.
In their biggest-ever AFCON win, Cape Verde dispatched of Mozambique 3-0, with Bebe’s sensational free-kick opening the scoring.
Captain Ryan Mendes and Kevin Pina notched the other goals, guaranteeing them Group B winners following their earlier win over Ghana.
They face Egypt next on Monday in their final group match, who can earn qualification to the last-16 themselves should they beat Cape Verde.
