Watch the moment Bayern star Leroy Sane is pushed in the face by Union Berlin manager Nenad Bjelica following a sideline scuffle.
Why Did Bjelica Push Sane?
With Bayern Munich 1-0 up against strugglers Union Berlin in last night’s Bundesliga fixture, Leroy Sane looked to retrieve the ball for a throw-in.
However, Union Berlin boss Bjelica snatched the ball away from the German international causing a touchline scuffle.
Chaos ensued and in the midst of the action the Croatian manager pushed Sane in the face TWICE before the two were separated by players and coaches.
The manager was, quite rightly, sent off for the incident while Leroy Sane was awarded a yellow card for his involvement.
Bayern went on to win the game 1-0 leaving them just four points off league leaders Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table.

What Did Bjelica And Sane Say About The Incident?
Sane spoke to BILD about the incident following the game, saying “I actually just want to get the ball back quickly to start the next attack.
“And then it got a bit wild and he grabbed me in the face.”
An unremorseful Bjelica also discussed the incident following the game, choosing to shift the blame onto Sane: “I’m in my zone and want to give him the ball. He pushed me. Then of course, I reacted.” he said.
The Union Berlin boss was then asked whether he would apologise for the incident, to which he responded: “Only to my team. It’s not tolerating it. Not with Sane. He comes towards me to provoke me. Of course, I don’t react the way I should as a coach. There’s nothing to add.”
Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel also weighed in on the incident, saying:
“It’s not good,” he said. “It’s hard to defend him. But I don’t want to say anything about it. I don’t need to add fuel to the fire.”
Leroy Sane was involved in a similar incident with former Bayern Munich teammate Sadio Mane towards the end of last season.
