The latest Tottenham transfer exclusive reveals that the club are not in any rush to replace Harry Kane and feel Bournemouth’s asking price of Dominic Solanke is too high.
Spurs Waiting On Kane Replacement As Cherries Want Over £50m For Solanke
Tottenham are yet to determine whether they want a Harry Kane replacement – meaning any bid for Dominic Solanke is not likely. Reports are suggesting a sensational bid for the Bournemouth striker in the closing hours of the January transfer window.
And given they have not yet brought someone in to fill the Kane-void, it would appear to make some sense. Yet indications out of the club are to the contrary – with SportsLens sources insisting no big striker bid is looming.
Sources close to Bournemouth have been quick to knock down the idea that they could sell their star striker anyway. The links to Spurs were around an offer that would be in excess of £50million.
However, the North London side are not looking to spend at that level and Bournemouth rate Solanke way higher than that price-point.
Tottenham are looking at the market to contemplate which strikers could become available between now and the summer, but would only be ready to move for a new front man if Richarlison leaves.
He has been linked with a transfer to Saudi Arabia and Spurs would have to be careful over any deal, as they seek to recoup close to the £60million they paid Everton for him.
Ange Postecoglou continues to use the Brazilian forward and he has scored six goals from his last six Premier League outings.
