Tottenham are yet to replace Harry Kane as their number nine after the Spurs legend left for Bayern Munich last season, but Ange Postecoglou is eying up a pair of Premier League forwards ahead of next season.

Tottenham Target Dominic Solanke Transfer

Dominic Solanke was one of last year’s standout performers in the Premier League and after finishing as the joint fourth top scorer in the league on 19, it is no surprise the Bournemouth star has been linked with a move away.

The 26-year-old is reportedly interested in a move away from the South coast and is keen on taking the next step in his career off the back of an incredible season.

Solanke is contracted to Bournemouth until 2027, but the former Liverpool player does have a release clause in his contract of around £65million.

Tottenham have failed to find a replacement number nine for Harry Kane yet and his absence was definitely felt in North London last season as the club finished outside the top four for a second consecutive season.

Ange Postecoglou admitted last week that signing a new forward was the ‘main focus’ for Spurs in the remaining weeks of the transfer window, with the Premier League season beginning in just over a week.

With 21 goals in 42 games last season, Solanke could prove to be the ideal signing for Tottenham this summer should the clubs agree on a fee – however there are other options on the table for Spurs.

Tottenham Enter Transfer Race For Ivan Toney

Another option for Tottenham this summer could be the highly sought after Ivan Toney, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the upcoming season.

Although he is one of the highest rated strikers currently available to buy, no club has yet made a move for Toney who as things stand, is staying at Brentford for next season.

The Bees would reportedly accept a bid in the region of £40million for Toney if clubs came knocking which would be a steal in the current market, as they are keen to not lose their best player on a free transfer next year.

North London rivals Arsenal are also reportedly keen on Toney this year but Mikel Arteta and the Gunners have been very quiet in the transfer market and have given no hints away this summer.

Toney is keen on a move to a club with Europe next season and although it’s not the Champions League, Tottenham still qualified for the Europa League next year which would be a step up for Toney.
