Premier League sides such as Tottenham and West Ham race for Tammy Abraham as Roma are forced to offload players to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions.
Roma’s Europa League final defeat has left them in a spot of financial bother which has now led the club to begin selling players. In 2021 the club lost £185 million. In their financial statement, Roma came forward and said that they ‘failed to fulfil UEFA’s break-even requirements for the four-year reporting period.’
Winning the Europa League final would’ve gained them an automatic spot in next year’s Champions League but defeat has left them in a poor financial spot and they are now forced to sell some profitable players.
Roma are starting off with English forward Abraham who is generating a lot of interest from the Premier League which is where Roma bought him from.
Roma signed Abraham from Chelsea in 2021 for a fee of £40 million. Since then Abraham has made 106 appearances for the Italian side and has netted 36 goals. Based on those stats it’s no surprise Roma are happy to sell the 25-year-old.

It is to believed that West Ham, Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Everton are interested in signing the forward.
West Ham are the only side who could be in a European competition. If they beat Fiorentina in the Europa Conference Final on Wednesday 7th June, they would secure a place in next year’s Europa League campaign, which could be an attractive prospect for Abraham.
Everton and Crystal Palace are without a reliable forward and Tottenham’s Harry Kane could be on his way out this season. Any of these sides would be a viable option for Abraham.
A fee has not yet been attached to Abraham but if were a reasonable one were to come along it’d be an interesting race to see which side can secure his signature.
