Chelsea fans will want to look away as Brentford became the third team this season to take all three points at Stamford Bridge.
The likes of Brentford and Aston Villa beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge towards the end of last season as well as this season. That means that those two teams have more league wins at the bridge than Chelsea in the past seven months.
Of course, take the two month end-of-season break into account but it still doesn’t make good reading for Chelsea. The Blues beat Luton 3-0 at home earlier on in the season but before that their last league win at Stamford Bridge was on the 4th March against Leeds.
Villa and Brentford both got their wins in the April and of course this season too. Brighton and Nottingham Forest also have the same number of league wins at the Bridge than Chelsea. Brighton beat Chelsea 2-1 in April and Forest beat them 1-0 earlier on in the season.
Chelsea nearly managed to get three points against Arsenal but couldn’t hold on to their 2-0 lead with just under 15 minutes to go.
This is a stat that could keep growing but for Mauricio Pochettino’s sake and Chelsea’s, they’ll be hoping to grab a few home wins. They’re currently in the bottom half of the table in 11th spot.
Chelsea’s Next Three Home League Games
Manchester City – 12th November – 4:30pm – Sky Sports
Unfortunately, Chelsea’s next home league game comes against Manchester City who just went to Old Trafford and won 3-0.
Brighton – 3rd December – 2pm
Then it’s Brighton who will put up a battle
Sheffield United – 16th December – 2pm
A bit of a reprieve for Chelsea as rock bottom Sheffield United shouldn’t be spoiling their Christmas fun.
