Fezzik graduated from Northwestern University after studying actuarial sciences. A self-proclaimed math geek, he placed second in his state high school chess championships.
After college, he became an insurance statistician and was Vice President of a major Los Angeles insurance firm from 1995-2001.
Throughout the 1990s, he would travel regularly to Nevada to bet on the NFL. By the end of the decade, he earned more from this than his main job.
Fezzik then moved to Las Vegas in 2001 to pursue a full time gambling career. Initially unnoticed, his success quickly gathered attention.
He won six major sports betting tournaments in ten years, pocketing close to $1 million.
But his most notable achievement is winning the Las Vegas Hilton SuperContest twice. Regarded as the World Series of sports betting, Fezzik won in 2008 and 2009 and remains the only two-time winner ever.
