K-Pop group STAYC have hit the number one spot this week in one of the funniest moments after turning up at Dallas gig sporting Rangers football shirts, instead of wearing tops from local baseball side – the Texas Rangers.

Rangers 4,623 Miles Top Mix-Up by K-Pop Group STAYC

For those that don’t know – K-Pop is short for ‘Korean Popular Music’ and one of their top bands, STAYC, who have over 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, have been touring in the US – with their latest performance in Dallas, Texas.

In a bid to win over the locals, the STAYC PR team decided to kit out their band in the tops of the local baseball side – The Texas Rangers.

However, when ordering the sporting shirts – their ‘Google Search’ must have missed out the term ‘baseball’ and instead the K-Pop group had retro 1990’s Rangers football shirts delivered, that were worn by Gers legends like Ally McCoist and Paul Gascoigne back in the day.

With the 4,623 miles ‘home run’ blunder clearly not noticed by anyone until STAYC were on stage performing, this led to a string of hilarious tweets from Rangers football fans.

Other Rangers fans on Twitter joked “Kpop band @STAYC_official maybe got the wrong Rangers shirts for their time in Dallas, TX or maybe they just love vintage Brian Laudrup headers #ItsAllAboutTheRangers#RangersFC #9”

With another adding “Where can you get a 9 in a row crop top? Asking for a friend.”

At least they didn’t turn up in ‘Power Rangers’ outfits, while the Texas Rangers won’t care as they’ve just reached their first World Series since 2011.

STAYC will also be at Wembley, performing alongside other K-pop stars for ‘Korea on Stage In London’ on 8th November 2023.
