Robert Lewandowski kept Barcelona’s Champions League chances alive on Wednesday night, as the Polish talisman fired home a 92nd minute equaliser against Inter.

Barcelona vs Inter Milan was one of the games of the week on Wednesday night, as the thrilling 6 goal affair saw the two European giants share the spoils at 3-3.

Much of the action came in the second half, with just an Ousmane Dembélé tap on the 40th minute separating the sides at the break.

The game sprung to life in the second half however, with goals from Nicolo Barella, Lautaro Martinez and a first in the game from Lewandowski setting up a thrilling final 10 minutes with the game level at 2-2.

Robin Gosens thought he had won it at the death, as the German substitute expertly dispatched the ball past Ter Stegen into the bottom right corner. Robert Lewandowski had other plans however.

The Camp Nou erupted in the 92nd minute, as Lewandowski rose highest in the box to expertly guide his header into the top corner and rescue a point for Barcelona.

Three points would have all but confirmed Inter Milan’s place in the round of 16, however with Lewandowski’s last minute header Barcelona live to fight another day in Europe.

With games against Bayern Munich and Viktoria Plzen on the horizon, Barcelona will still need maximum points from their final two games, or will have to hope that they can secure enough points to go through as a third place side.
