Graham Potter has told the media that Reece James will see specialists this weekend regarding his injury suffered midweek when Chelsea beat AC Milan at the San Siro in the Champions League.
James was forced off the field during the second half of Chelsea’s 2-0 win away at Milan. Reports are now emerging that the defender may miss the Qatar World Cup, which gets underway on November 20.

If James does have to miss the World Cup, it will be a huge blow for Gareth Southgate, who has started the full-back in England’s last four matches, and with Kyle Walker also out injured, facing a late test for the tournament, it’ll surely be leaving Southgate sweating.
Potter was asked about the injury ahead of Chelsea’s fixture with Aston Villa on Sunday.
“He’s due to see a specialist over the weekend so, until we get that information, there’s not too much else I can add unfortunately.
“There’s no point looking into the doomsday scenario yet. We just need to check and then go forward.”
