PSV vs Arsenal Preview

Group B winners Arsenal travel to the Netherlands to take on PSV Eindhoven in their final Champions League group match of the campaign, with both sides already confirmed to have a last-16 spot.

The Gunners’ four point advantage at the top of the table means that PSV are unable to catch up with them, even with a victory, however third place Lens could match the Eredivisie outfit’s point tally but are unable to overtake them due to their head-to-head record.

Peter Bosz’s side come into the clash in excellent form with an incredible 15 wins from 15 matches in the Dutch top flight, a return that sees them sit 10 points clear at the top of the table. Incredibly, they have suffered just one competitive defeat this term, which came as a 4-0 loss in the reverse fixture at the Emirates.

Arsenal on the other hand, were narrowly beaten by Aston Villa last time out. Mikel Arteta‘s side had won six straight matches prior to that one, but John McGinn’s seventh minute strike was enough to knock the north Londoners off the top of the table.
