Pedro Neto will be priced up at £80million by Wolves this summer – but early indications suggest that none of his suitors are going to meet that valuation.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham All Keen On Pedro Neto
Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the early favourites to sign Neto at the end of the season, on the back of an impressive campaign.
Neto, 23, has 14 goal contributions in 20 appearances, with 11 assists and three goals of his own.
His ability to play across the front line makes him an even more intriguing option for clubs looking to sharpen up their attack in the summer, and Wolves know they are facing an uphill battle to keep him at the club.
He is currently under contract until 2027 and has been at Molineux since 2019, but there is growing belief that this will be his final season with the club.
Pedro Neto Transfer News: Wolves Want £80m For The Portugal International
The sticking point will come around his price-point though, as Wolves are prepared to hold out for £80million before parting ways with him.
Sources have indicated to SportsLens that none of the current clubs in the frame to sign Neto would be looking to bid so high for the Portugal international.
Arsenal are the club who have been most heavily linked with Neto, as they explore fresh options for the wide positions, but there is very little chance they would pay such a premium in the same window that they are also looking to sign a new striker, central midfielder and a defender.
Manchester United see him as an alternate option to Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise, but funds available at Old Trafford are restricted until they know how much money can be brought in from player sales.
Spurs also have Neto on their watchlist as they contemplate ways to freshen up their attacking options for next season, and they continue to hesitate over a like-for-like Harry Kane replacement.
Sources are currently suggesting to SportsLens that it is more likely £60million offers arrive for Neto and that negotiations will build out from there.
The player’s injury record is likely to come into consideration too. He has missed eight Premier League games this season with a hamstring injury, and has also suffered some serious ankle and knee injuries in recent seasons.
