PAOK vs Aberdeen Prediction

Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen face off against Greek outfit PAOK for the second time in as many weeks in the Conference League, having thrown away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 last time out at Pittodrie.

It was a gut wrenching defeat for the Dons, who led by two goals with less than 20 minutes to go, but PAOK didn’t go down without a fight and scored on the 73, 84 and 96 minute marks to turn the game on its head.

The victory propelled them to the top of the table, ahead of ex-Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt, and left Aberdeen in third with just a point to their name.

Barry Robson’s side’s chances of progression are now slim to none, whilst PAOK can secure their spot in the knockout rounds with a victory in front of a rampant home crowd at the Toumba Stadium.

Thursday evening’s hosts are unbeaten in all nine of their games at home this term, and we at SportsLens expect that they’ll maintain that record with a comfortable win over their Scottish counterparts.

Prediction: PAOK 3-1 Aberdeen

PAOK vs Aberdeen Betting Tips

  • PAOK Win & Both Teams To Score @ 15/8
  • Andrija Zivkovic To Score Anytime @ 11/8
  • Combined Bet Builder Odds @ 4/1

PAOK vs Aberdeen Betting Tip 1: PAOK Win & Both Teams To Score @ 15/8

As previously alluded to, PAOK have an excellent home record this term having gone unbeaten in nine, but they also have a knack for conceding a goal or two, especially in Europe.

The Thessaloniki-based club have conceded in all three of their matches in Group G despite boasting a 100% record, conceding twice to both Aberdeen and HJK, and shipping one against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Although we expect Razvan Lucescu’s side to reign victorious with a fourth successive win in the group and to secure advancement to the knockout stages, we don’t think they’ll do it without conceding a goal, which is why we’re backing PAOK to win and both teams to score, priced at 15/8.

PAOK vs Aberdeen Betting Tip 2: Andrija Zivkovic To Score Anytime @ 11/8

Our second tip for your Thursday night Conference League bet builders for PAOK vs Aberdeen is to back Serbian winger Andrija Zivkovic to score at anytime during the fixture, priced at 11/8.

The ex-Benfica man has appeared in all 19 of PAOK’s games this term, boasting the most minutes of any outfield player within the squad, and is the club’s leading scorer with nine goals, and also has three assists to his name.

Zivkovic is a proven threat in attack with four goals to his name in the competition already, which includes one against another Scottish Premiership side in Hearts, and also scored during Sunday’s 4-2 Greek Super League win over title rivals Olympiacos.

We at SportsLens are backing the 40-time Serbia international to maintain his strong form in the competition, and to build on last weekend’s goal by netting against Aberdeen on Thursday.
