Olympiacos vs West Ham Preview
Both sides come into ‘Matchday 3’ in fairly good form in their respective leagues, whilst West Ham occupy top spot in Group A, and Olympiacos sit in third with just one point to their name.
Olympiacos’s Greek Super League clash against Panathinaikos at the weekend was postponed, meaning that they haven’t been in action since the draw to Backa Topola three weeks ago.
Other than that draw though, the Greek giants were narrowly beaten by Freiburg on ‘Matchday 1′, and currently boast an unbeaten record in the league with six victories and one draw.
As for David Moyes’ men – they suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend. It was the Hammers’ first loss in almost a month, with the one prior coming in the form of a 3-1 win for Liverpool at the end of September.
After the win over Freiburg earlier in the month, the Hammers took their unbeaten run in Europe to 17 straight matches – the longest of any English club in history, and they’ll be hopeful of extending that to 18 matches on Thursday night.
