Ollie Watkins goals this season have buoyed Aston Villa’s staggering first half of the season. As he nears double figures in the Premier League this season, he is just one goal away from a commendable milestone last achieved by an Englishman a quarter of a century.
Ollie Watkins Goals This Seasons
Ollie Watkins has scored nine goals this term, which is just six behind his total haul from 2022/23. Aston Villa’s most potent threat is much more than a goalscorer – he is the lynchpin for which the rest of the Villa forward line revolves around, which has seen him rack up a further six assist to add to his goal tally.
The Englishman has cemented his spot as the number two behind Harry Kane, and he is among the favourites to board the plane next summer according to the latest England 2024 Euros squad odds.
There are very few strikers in the Premier League as multi-faceted as the Villa marksmen; much of their expected success this season rests firmly on his shoulders, so keeping him fit may prove essential.

Ollie Watkins Stats in the Premier League
Since making the step up to the Premier League in the summer of 2020 after leaving former club Brentford, Watkins has clocked in with 70 goal contributions across 126 appearances, which is a solid record given Aston Villa’s league position has fluctuated throughout his time in the Midlands.
As he prepares to face relegation favourites across Premier League betting sites Sheffield United – the worst defence by some measure this term – Watkins can move onto the double figures in the league for the fourth straight season.
In doing so, Watkins can become the first Englishman to score 10 or more goals in each of his first four seasons since Robbie Fowler in 1996-97.
No team has collected more points at home than Aston Villa this term, and no team has collected fewer on the road than Sheffield United. By all accounts, Friday evening’s meeting at Villa Park is expected to be somewhat of a bloodbath, and Watkins can play a starring role to collect his 10th goal of the season.
