With Roy Hodgson reportedly just one more loss away from the sack, there are several candidates linked with becoming the next Crystal Palace manager.
According to reports, the former England boss is under mounting pressure at Selhurst Park. Palace are 15th in the Premier League table after winning just four games this season.
The Eagles host Brentford on Saturday, who themselves have been reportedly considering replacing Thomas Frank. It is believed that Hodgon could well be out the door should his side lose again this weekend.
Palace are currently only three points above the relegation places, and haven’t won since 4 November.
With fans calling for Hodgson to leave, we’ve taken a look at some names who could replace him as the next Crystal Palace manager.
Who Could Be The Next Crystal Palace Manager?
Steve Cooper
The first name on the list is former Nottingham Forest boss, Steve Cooper. Cooper was sacked earlier in December, and replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Englishman has been heavily linked with a move to Palace, and it has been reported that the club are in talks with the 50-year-old.
Palace are seemingly looking to tie up a deal that would see him eventually become manager – either immediately or at the end of the season.
Roy Hodgson’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, with the 76-year-old expected to retire.
As Cooper is currently out of a job, a deal would me fairly simple to agree for Palace. He is believed to be open to a move to Selhurst Park, and the club would not need to pay any compensation if they appoint him.
The only real obstacle Palace must overcome for Cooper’s signature is competition from other clubs. Championship strugglers Birmingham City reportedly want Cooper with new boss Wayne Rooney winning just two of 13 league matches.
Oliver Glasner
Steve Cooper isn’t the only name linked with becoming the next Crystal Palace manager. Former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has been touted as an option for the Eagles.
He impressed with the Budesliga side, leading them to Europa League glory in 2022. They defeated Rangers on penalties in the final, having seen off both West Ham and Barcelona.

The 49-year-old Austrian has also managed LASK and SV Reid in his home country, as well as VfL Wolfsburg. Glasner started his coaching career at Red Bull Salzburg, working under former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick.
Graham Potter
Another option for Crystal Palace is Graham Potter. The former Chelsea and Brighton boss lost his way at Stamford Bridge, but was applauded for his work on the South Coast.
He led Brighton to a top-half finish in 2022 and built much of the squad that are now flying under Roberto De Zerbi.
Also linked with Brentford, Potter is expected to return to the Premier League sooner rather than later. Could he be the next Crystal Palace manager?
A decision could be made very soon, with Palace on an eight game winless run in the league. Discussing his future, Hodgson confirmed he would leave the club at the end of the season.
Speaking earlier in December, he said: “I know the day will come when it is no longer possible for me to work when I won’t have the offer to work at the level that I want to work at.
“I thought it was coming at the end of last season but it was prolonged by the club asking me to stay on for this season. That is what I am doing. I don’t have any plans or any thoughts beyond that.
“I want to do well this season, I want to help the club have a good season and that will be me finished with Crystal Palace Football Club.”
Palace’s game with Brentford on Saturday will be crucial for both sides. Thomas Frank’s side have lost their last four and the losing manager this weekend could well be out the door.
