Mikel Arteta In Dsipute With PGMOL After Recent Referee Comments
Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle in their last Premier League match, after Anthony Gordon scored a hugely controversial goal – which was vigorously checked by VAR.
The Spanish manager had a lot to say in his post-match press conference, claiming he was ’embarrassed’ by the standing of officiating in the Premier League.
Arteta said: “The outcome is nowhere near the level this league needs to have and the way this league is getting competed in”. “It’s not good enough here in PL. I feel embarrassed to be part of this”.
He has since reiterated this message and Arsenal are reportedly preparing a meeting with the FA and PGMOL, where the Gunners will run through a host of decisions that have gone against them.
