Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says that Cristiano Ronaldo is happy at the club, despite reports that he may not be.
Ronaldo was once again an unused substitute in Sunday’s damaging defeat in the Manchester Derby, where Man City and Erling Haaland ran riot at the Etihad.
The Portuguese forward was hoping to leave United in there summer and there’s even further speculation about his future as it appears he is the third-choice striker, but Ten Hag insists he’s in good spirits.

“The question was about his mood in training, where he's happy. And than of course, he wants to play and he's p***** off when he's not playing”. pic.twitter.com/oqugqYRyaY

Ten Hag was speaking to the media ahead of Thursday’s Europa League match against Omonia Nicosia.
“I don’t see that he is unhappy,” said Ten Hag. “He is happy, he is training well and he is enjoying.
“It has nothing to do with the future, what’s happening for January or next year,
“He’s not happy he didn’t play Sunday, don’t get me wrong, but the question was about his mood in training, where he’s happy. Of course, he wants to play and he’s p***** off when he’s not playing.”
There will of course be speculation surrounding Ronaldo’s future all the time, and there is a chance the five-time Ballon d’Or winner could leave in January.
