Manchester City vs Huddersfield Preview and Prediction
The visitors come into this FA Cup as heavy underdogs, as 38 places sit between themselves and Manchester City – who are also the reigning champions.
Darren Moore’s side are three points away from the relegation places and have lost their last two matches in the Championship.
The Terriers have won just five league matches from 26 so far and have been given little chance on their trip to Manchester.
Pep Guardiola’s side have maintained their high standards this season, topping the Champions League group and sitting four points from the top of the Premier League – with a game in hand on the teams around them.
The Cityzens have not lost at the Etihad since November 2022, but have suffered a 2-2 to Crystal Palace in recent weeks.
Despite this, we expect the current holders to win this match comfortably and inflict a heavy thrashing on their lower-league opponents.

In two of Huddersfield’s last three trips to the Etihad, the Terriers have conceded at least five goals – losing 6-1 and 5-1 in 2018 and 2017 respectively.
Huddersfield have conceded 44 goals in the Championship this season and Manchester City have scored 45 goals in the Premier League – the highest in the league.

The Englishman has been on fine form for Manchester City, contributing to four goals in his last four appearances in all competitions (2G+2A).
His place in the side has become far more regular over recent weeks and Foden should feature against Huddersfield on Sunday.
