Manchester City striker Erling Haaland holds a remarkable offside record in the Premier League this season.
Erling Haaland Premier League Form
Off the back of 36 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season, Manchester City‘s Erling Haaland has picked up where he left off this campaign.
17 goals in 21 appearances may be somewhat of a drop off from last year’s heady heights, but the total is still enough to see him unchallenged as the Premier League’s Top Scorer in 2023/24.
All of this despite the Norwegian missing 5 Premier League games, from early December to mid-January, due to injury.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola recently praised the prolific striker following his 5-goal haul against Luton in the FA Cup.
“How many chances did he have against Chelsea?” said Guardiola. “A lot. He maybe had less against Bournemouth, one or two. But it’s his talent. We know always he is there, he always has the chances.
“Always we work as a team to provide the chances. Sometimes you score goals, sometimes not. Quite often he scores. But it’s not a big issue because he’s a special talent.
“The number he has at his age in all competitions, honestly it’s unbelievable. I am happy that he’s got the confidence because the guys who are the top scorers need goals, and he did it (against Luton).”
