Newly promoted Leicester City have opened talks with Arsenal over a potential loan move for Reiss Nelson, with Steve Cooper looking to strengthen the Foxes attack during his first season in charge.
Leicester Interested In Signing Reiss Nelson
Reiss Nelson has been an Arsenal player for his whole career so far and he was once one of the Gunners brightest prospects from their Hale End academy.
Unfortunately for Nelson, the forward has never really fulfilled his potential since graduating from the academy with the likes of Bukayo Saka surpassing him by some way in the last few years.
Nelson has been loaned out twice during his senior career, with the winger enjoying fruitful loans for both Feyenoord in 2021 and Hoffenheim in 2018.
The Gunners are reportedly open to offers for Nelson this summer and newly promoted Leicester City seem willing to give him a chance back in the Premier League under new boss Steve Cooper.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Foxes are interested in a deal for Nelson that could be a loan with an option to buy clause at the end of the season.

Nelson didn’t feature much for Arsenal again last season, with the 24-year-old starting just one Premier League game in 15 appearances.
The winger did play a role in Arsenal’s European campaign as well, picking up two assists in five Champions League appearances – all of which cam in the group stage.
Having already played under Steve Cooper for England under 17’s, there is strong belief within the Leicester camp that they can get a deal over the line for Nelson who burst onto the scene while playing under Cooper in the England youth team.
Nelson would no doubt get much more game time at Leicester than he currently does at Arsenal and while Mikel Arteta may be reluctant to let him go, a deal completed ahead of next season seems likely.
