Grand Slam Of Darts Day 4 Tips
19:10 – Dave Chisnall vs Stowe Buntz: Chisnall To Win & Most 180s @ 4/7
Debutant Stowe Buntz has been the surprise package of the 2023 Grand Slam of Darts, beating both Stephen Bunting and two-time world champion Peter Wright in his opening two group games.
He has qualified for the Last 16 on debut, with Chisnall crashing out of Group E. However, on his day, Dave Chisnall can beat anybody.
It is too little, too late for ‘Chizzy’ but we fully expect him to go out on a high here, beating the American and also hitting more 180s than his opponent.
19:40 – Nathan Aspinall vs Ricardo Pietreczko: Aspinall To Win, Highest Checkout & Most 180s @ 10/3
Nathan Aspinall has already qualified for the knockout stages of the 2023 Grand Slam of Darts. He beat both Beau Greaves and Damon Heta, and needs a win here to guarantee top spot in Group H.
Ricardo Pietreczko has taken the darting world by storm in the past month or two, but has struggled on his Grand Slam of Darts debut. He has lost both of his games, and we see the same outcome tonight with ‘The Asp’ beating ‘Pikachu’ in every department.
That’s why we’re backing Nathan Aspinall to be the “King of the Oche” and win the match with the highest checkout and most 180s.
20:05 – Michael van Gerwen vs Martijn Kleermaker: van Gerwen To Win, Highest Checkout & Most 180s @ 7/4
Three-time Grand Slam of Darts winner Michael van Gerwen has already qualified for the Last 16 of the tournament. He needs a win here to confirm top spot, and faces Martijn Kleermaker who is bottom of Group G.
‘MVG’ is still arguably the best darts player in the world, and should brush his Dutch counterpart away with relative ease. He will have his sights set on a fourth title, taking home the top purse in Grand Slam of Darts prize money.
That’s why we’re backing Michael van Gerwen to be the “King of the Oche” and win the match with the highest checkout and most 180s.
20:30 – Andrew Gilding vs Haruki Muramatsu: Gilding To Win & Highest Checkout @ 11/10
For the next of our Grand Slam of Darts Day 4 tips we’re going slightly safer with just Andrew Gilding to win and get the highest checkout, rather than most 180s too.
‘Goldfinger’ needs a win here to qualify for the knockout stages of the Grand Slam, and should be able to overcome his Japanese opponent. Muramatsu has lost both of his matches in Group F so far to Dolan and Noppert respectively.
The reigning UK Open champion should have too much for Muramatsu here, and here at SportsLens we fully expect him to win this one rather comfortably, whilst also securing the highest checkout of the match.
20:55 – Danny Noppert vs Brendan Dolan: Noppert To Win & Highest Checkout @ 6/4
Neither man has qualified from Group F just yet, but whoever wins this match is almost guaranteed to progress. A win for Dolan and he will go through, and a win for Noppert will mean he has won all three group games and topped Group F.
This is a tricky one to call, but we believe the Dutchman will prevail and send the Northern Irishman packing from Wolverhampton. Noppert has won the last two encounters between the pair and is in the far better form too.
We think Noppert will win and win well with the highest checkout, which you can back at a price of 6/4 with the best UK sports betting apps.
21:20 – Peter Wright vs Stephen Bunting: Bunting To Win & Most 180s @ 5/2
It’s winner takes all in the final Group E game of the 2023 Grand Slam of Darts. Whoever wins this match will progress into the knockout stages alongside American Stowe Buntz.
Wright has won the last three encounters against ‘The Bullet’, but Bunting won the three head-to-heads prior to that. The best UK sports betting sites are finding it hard to split them, and here at SportsLens we are too.
However, we are leaning towards the Merseyside man here, sending the three-time finalist packing. We also think Bunting could hit more 180s than ‘Snakebite’, whilst also winning a tight affair.
21:45 – Rob Cross vs Fallon Sherrock: Cross To Win & Sherrock Most 180s @ 3/1
Rob Cross is a former world champion for a reason, and needs a win here to secure his Last 16 place in the 2023 Grand Slam of Darts. Again, it’s winner takes all here to see who progresses alongside Michael van Gerwen from Group G.
‘Voltage’ looks to be back in decent form, but will have to be on his A-game to defeat Fallon Sherrock. Sherrock is a huge scorer, and regularly hits more 180s than her opponent. We can see that being the case here, but think the multiple major champion will be too strong and will win the match.
The pair have never played each other before, and we can see this being a close match, with Cross edging Sherrock out either 5-4 or 5-3.
22:05 – Damon Heta vs Beau Greaves: Heta To Win & Greaves Most 180s @ 3/1
To end the night and our Grand Slam of Darts Day 4 tips, we have Damon Heta taking on the best female darts player on the planet, Beau Greaves. This is a really tough match to call, with the winner qualifying for the knockout stages from Group H.
Greaves has hit more 180s in the 2023 Grand Slam of Darts than anyone else, and we can see this trend continuing this evening. However, Damon Heta is an exceptional player, and can beat any player in the world on his day.
The Australian will have to be on his A-game if he is to beat Greaves, but we fully expect him to do just that. However, do not be surprised to see the 19-year-old female darting sensation hit more 180s than the world number 13.
