Chelsea were able to cruise to a 2-0 victory over AC Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday night, but Graham Potter admitted after the game that the harsh Tomori dismissal in the first half changed the game.
Fikayo Tomori was shown a straight red after just 18 minutes on Tuesday night, as the former Chelsea man brought down Mason Mount as he drove into the box.
There was minimal contact between the Englishmen, however referee Daniel Sieber gave Chelsea a penalty and showed Tomori a straight red for his pull back on Mount.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter admitted after the game that the red card completely turned the game on its head for his side.
“Firstly, to get a penalty and then a red card is a big moment [in the match]. Everybody would agree with that as it changes the game in terms of what Milan want to do.
“From where I am, I can’t really see too much. I could see that Mason was in on goal and if he’s brought him down, he’s brought him down. But I’ve not seen it back other than watching live. Clearly, that is a big moment for us.”
Jorginho was on hand to dispatch the resulting Chelsea penalty and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled the Blues’ advantage before half time, as Chelsea went top of Group E with a 2-0 win.
Having lost back to back group stage matches, AC Milan will have to get back on track fast without Tomori next week should they want to qualify for the last 16, as they face Dinamo Zagreb in their penultimate group stage game.
