Kyrollos began gambling at an early age, playing cards with his mother from the age of four.
He learned backgammon and poker as a child and was quickly hooked on the various games.
It was his mother who coined his nickname, too. “Spanky” was a character in “The Little Rascals”, and Kyrollos’ mother would call him it as he was was always getting into trouble as a kid.
He would deal parlay cards at high school and dabbled in bookmaking at Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City.
Kyrollos graduated college at Rutgers with degrees in computer science and finance. He gave up bookmaking as it was illegal, and learned to become a winning sports bettor.
His guiding inspiration was “The Complete Book of Sports Betting” by Jack Moore.
The book taught him valuable lessons, but another breakthrough for Kyrollos came while taking a class in “Internet Technologies.”
