Newcastle United have revealed that Fun88 will no longer be the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor but the Chinese gambling company will retain a commercial association as its official Asian betting partner.
Fun88 has been Newcastle’s shirt sponsor since 2017-18, and has now agreed a multi-year regional deal, beginning with the 2023-24 season.
Newcastle said Fun88 will play a key role in the club’s commercial growth in Asia through in-market initiatives, official club merchandise and VIP experiences for supporters.
The Magpies were able to broker an early exit from their original agreement with the firm, which was said to be worth around £8million per year, as they prepare to unveil a new lucrative front-of-shirt sponsor.
Manager Eddie Howe guided Newcastle to a fourth-placed Premier League finish last season, which will see the club play Champions League for the first time since the 2003.

FUN88 has also been the Asian betting partner of Tottenham Hotspur since 2012, while in 2020 the company became the official betting partner of the CPL T20 (Caribbean Premier League).
