Welcome to the latest article in a new series for the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League season from @FPL_Heisenberg for Sports Lens. In this weekly series, Heisenberg will be looking into the best three players for your FPL team – along with one juicy differential.
Heisenberg has a proven track record in FPL, having finished inside the top 1% of FPL managers in each of the last 9 seasons – including a best finish of 836th. Let’s cook!
FPL Heisenberg Tips: Three Players To Have On Your Gameweek 26 Radar
Hee Chan Hwang (Fixture: Sheffield United, Home)
Hee Chan Hwang has been producing the goods in FPL this season – scoring 10 times and assisting three times in 18 starts. He was in and out of the team at the beginning of the season, but now he’s a regular for Gary O’Neil, he’s getting a good run in the team, so I expect the South Korean to be involved in the goals which inevitably flow at home to a leaky Sheffield United.
Sheffield United have conceded more than any team this season so I’m opting for a home win for Wolves and plenty of goals to boot. Should that happen, it’ll likely be a big FPL return for Hee Chan Hwang (and hopefully a nice return for his teammate who gets a mention later in this article).
Ollie Watkins (Fixture: Nottingham Forest, Home)
Ollie Watkins has a massive 27 attacking returns this season – 13 goals and amassed 14 assists in 25 games – making him a great pick this Gameweek (and even a captaincy consideration too). A plumb fixture for the Englishman at home to Nottingham Forest, who have conceded plenty of goals this season.
Watkins is the main man for Villa, both in terms of goal contributions and minutes on the pitch. He’s played 90 minutes in the majority of Premier League games for Aston Villa – which is great for the potential of late goals which has happened a lot this season.
I’m predicting a comfortable win for Aston Villa, scoring a couple of goals at least. I’d be shocked if Watkins blanks in this one.
Pascal Gross (Fixture: Everton, Home)
Bonus points magnet Pascal Gross has been raking in the points of late, with three big gameweeks in a row, securing bonus points in all of them.
His bonus points potential was particularly highlighted last Gameweek where he got two bonus points with just the one assist in a 5-0 win away at Sheffield United. So, if he gets an attacking return you can be pretty sure he’ll get some bonus points too.
The fixtures for the next three gameweeks are very good for Brighton so I’m expecting the German to continue racking up the points.
Honourable mention to Simon Adingra who returned from the African Cup of Nations with a bang, bagging a brace away at Sheffield United. He’s a solid budget enabler too at only £5.0m.
FPL Heisenberg – Differential
Rayan Ait-Nouri (Fixture: Sheffield United, Home)
Rayan Ait-Nouri (who is owned by less than 1% of managers) has a decent chance of returns at both ends of the pitch this Gameweek against Sheffield United. His role in the team is to attack from wing-back and as Wolves will have plenty of the ball he’ll be positioned high up the pitch from open play.
As mentioned earlier, I’m predicting a big home win for Wolves and hopefully that can come with a clean sheet for Ait-Nouri and with a bit of luck – another attacking return too.
Wolves are about to begin a favourable run of fixtures too which is why I wanted to include two Wolves players in this week’s article.
