Ahead of Gameweek 11 in the Premier League, we have analysed and selected the best picks for your Fantasy Football weekend. Brighton striker, Evan Ferguson is a stand-out, but there are a list of options for your squad. Read below to find out more.
Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 11 Picks
Evan Ferguson – Brighton (£6m)
The Irishman has established himself as one of the brightest prospects in England during his time at Brighton, as he continues to impress at just 19-years-old.
In 10 Premier League appearances, the Irish international has scored five goals and has even bagged his first Premier League hat-trick, scoring three against Newcastle.
We think Ferguson will be a stellar pick for your Gameweek 11 side, as Brighton face relegation contenders, Everton this weekend.
Additionally, Brighton’s next three fixtures after their trip to Goodison Park are, Sheffield United (H), Nottingham Forest (A) and Chelsea (A).
The 19-year-old has already accumulated 39 points this season, after only starting six out of the 10 matches. Danny Welbeck remains injured, meaning Ferguson will be called upon once again.
Julian Alvarez – Manchester City (£7.2m)
The Argentine has become a regular in Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven, as he continues to play in the ‘Kevin De Bruyne’ role.
Contributing to seven goals in 10 league appearances, the 2022 World Cup winner is now one of the most important players at Manchester City.
The Cityzens have a ‘Green Fixture’ this week, which for those that are not FPL experts, means they are expected to win the match – as they welcome Bournemouth to the Etihad.
At £7.2m the 23-year-old is on the more expensive side, however, Manchester City’s dominance and approach to each game makes their attackers attractive options.
Kieran Trippier – Newcastle (£7m)
The Newcastle captain is at the more pricey end of the spectrum for a defender, costing £7m, however, the Magpies defender has proved to be good value for money.
Averaging around 5.9 points per game, the former Atletico Madrid player is an advantageous player to have in both defence, and attack.
Trippier has contributed with six assists already this season and with a poacher like Callum Wilson up front, is expected to see that number rise.
Newcastle have a tough fixture this week, as Eddie Howe’s side welcome Arsenal to St James Park. However, the Gunners are coming off a 3-1 defeat to West Ham during the week and Newcastle will come in full of confidence following their 3-0 victory over Manchester United on Wednesday evening.
Honourable Mentions:
Kaoru Mitoma – Brighton (£6.5m)
Dominik Szoboszlai – Liverpool (£7.1m)
Moussa Diaby – Aston Villa (£6.8m)
