Welcome to the latest article in a new series for the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League season from FPL_Heisenberg for SportsLens.
In this weekly series, Heisenberg will be looking into the best three players for your FPL team – along with one juicy differential. Heisenberg has a proven track record in FPL, having finished inside the top 1% of FPL managers in each of the last nine seasons – including a best finish of 836th.
FPL Heinsenberg Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 28 Tips
Dominic Solanke
- (Fixtures: Sheffield United, Home & Luton, Home)
Dominic Solanke has been producing the goods in FPL this season – despite being relatively quiet in last gameweek . This season he has 14 goals – only record-breaker Erling Haaland, Mo Salah and Ollie Watkins have scored more.
Facing two newly-promoted sides (both of whom are in the bottom three) at home in gameweek 28, I’m fully expecting Andoni Iraola’s men to score plenty of goals. Should that happen, it’ll likely result in a very solid FPL return for Bournemouth’s number nine.
An honourable mention here to Antoine Semenyo who is also a great pick this week – if you can squeeze another Bournemouth forward into your front three.
With any Bournemouth asset you bring in this week, make sure you have a plan to either sell or bench them in Gameweek 29 when they blank (if you’re on a Free Hit next week then you don’t have to worry about this of course).
Alfie Doughty
- (Fixtures: Crystal Palace, Away & Bournemouth, Away)
Rob Edwards’ team play away twice in gameweek 28 – facing two teams in the bottom half of the table.
Alfie Doughty is a chance creating machine – he’s one of the highest performing defenders for chances created this season. He takes set pieces and attacks well from open play, so although clean sheets are rare for Luton, the chances of attacking returns are high for the English left wing back.
Doughty is also a good pick if you are not Free Hitting in blank gameweek 29 as Luton are one of only eight teams with a fixture.
Norberto Neto
- (Fixtures: Sheffield United, Home and Luton, Home)
This is the first gameweek where I have chosen to highlight a goalkeeper in my SportsLens article. I just couldn’t leave out a goalkeeper with the potential for save points, bonus points and clean sheets at home to two of the bottom three in gameweek 28.
Neto has made over three saves in the majority of his games and he’s also got bonus points in the several games where Bournemouth have secured a clean sheet.
If you are to bring in Neto, make sure your other goalkeeper has a fixture in blank gameweek 29 when Bournemouth do not have a fixture.
Fantasy Premier League Differential – Carlton Morris
- (Fixtures: Crystal Palace, Away and Bournemouth, Away)
Carlton Morris (who is owned by around 8% of managers at the time of writing) has been a great differential in recent weeks. He has nine goals and one assist this season which is a great return for a relatively cheap forward.
Luton have surprised everyone this season and they’ll be looking to continue their strong overall form in front of goal in these two games, looking to upset the home teams.
As mentioned earlier with Doughty, Morris is also a good pick if you are not Free Hitting in blank gameweek 29 as Luton are one of only eight teams with a fixture.
