Davies Just 8/1 To Be Heading To Saudi Next

Alphonso Davies can be backed at a tempting 8/1 to join any Saudi Pro League club if he does decide to move on from Bayern Munich. A whole plethora of star names – including Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo – have joined the Saudi revolution in the last 12 months and it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise to see a world class player like Davies make the move to the Middle East, especially with the sizeable contract he’d be offered.

Davies, 23, is arguably the best left-back in the world at the moment and he would most likely wish to stay in Europe if he did leave the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season. However, it could be hard to resist the huge riches that the Saudi Pro League can offer, but his 8/1 price does give punters good value.

Madrid The Favourites To Sign Davies

The clear favourites to acquire Davies’s signature are La Liga giants Real Madrid, who can be backed at 6/5 to sign the Bayern star. Davies has been  linked with a move to Los Blancos since the summer, and this will further cement a punters temptation into backing the move to the Bernabeu.

Davies fits the mould of a future Galactico, having won 13 major trophies at Bayern, including 5 Bundesliga titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2020. Many could view him as a natural successor to Brazilian star Marcelo and with his vast array of attributes and electric pace, he would fit right into Madrid’s team. It would be a sensible punt for Davies to end up in Spain should he leave Bayern.

Neil Roarty, Betting Expert at Sportslens, said: “Alphonso Davies has yet again been proving his worth for Bayern Munich this season, with the Canadian fullback one of the first names on Thomas Tuchel’s team sheet.

“Davies has been at Bayern for over four years now, but there are reports coming out of the club that the defender may decide to not sign a new contract with the Bundesliga champions. Davies’ current deal is set to expire in 2025, but the pacey left back may opt to force a transfer away from Germany well before that date.

“Real Madrid have been priced as the 6/5 favourites to sign Davies from Bayern with the La Liga side keen on improving their talented, youthful squad. Davies is reportedly at the top of Madrid president Florentino Perez’s summer transfer wishlist, as the Spanish super club continues to build on their incredible talent.

“Premier League champions Manchester City have been heavily linked with Davies ever since Joao Cancelo departed for Barcelona and with that move looking increasingly likely to be a permanent one, they could make a move for Bayern’s left back as a replacement.

“Davies is just 8/1 to sign for any Saudi club at the end of the season, which is a move that would come as a surprise at such a young age, but playing alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar may attract the 23-year-old.”
