West Ham have been one of the busiest Premier League teams in the transfer window this summer and after their latest acquisition of Niklas Fullkrug, we take a look at all of their deals so far and how good they are.
West Ham Summer Transfers
The Hammers have made six signings so far this summer, spending over £125million in the process. Below we have ranked the signings so far in the transfer window.
6. Wes Foderingham – Free Transfer
West Ham secured goalkeeper Wes Foderingham on a free transfer right at the beginning of the window. Foderingham joins West Ham on a two year deal from Sheffield United after his deal expired and the 33-year-old became a free agent.
Foderingham has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt after last season, where he started 30 games in goal for Sheffield United who were ultimately relegated.
It is hard to believe that Foderingham will get many minutes in the Premier League next season behind goalkeepers Alphonse Areola and Łukasz Fabiański, but he will add some valuable experience to the changing room.
5. Guido Rodriguez – Free Transfer
The Hammers’ only other free transfer this summer has been Guido Rodriguez, who was a World Cup winner with Argentina in 2022.
The midfielder joins West Ham from Real Betis, where he spent just over four seasons before making the move to England this summer when his contract expired.
Rodriguez is unlikely to start under Julen Lopetegui this season with an extremely competitive midfield, but the 30-year-old is sure to play a part in the squad’s depth.
4. Luis Guilherme – £25.5m
West Ham have also signed Luis Guilherme in the transfer window this summer, with the 18-year-old Brazilian signing a five-year contract in June.
Guilherme is a bright winger but West Ham have taken a gamble on the youngster who played just 18 games last season in Brazil.
The forward is sure to add depth to the West Ham squad and Julen Lopetegui will be hoping that Guilherme can fulfil his potential in the Premier League next year.
3. Max Kilman – £47.5m
Max Kilman has been Wolves’ most expensive transfer so far this summer, with the Hammers splashing £47.5m on the highly rated centre back.
Kilman was named Wolves captain at the beginning of last year and he played every single minute of the 2023/24 season. Arsenal’s William Saliba was the only other outfielder in the Premier League to play every minute of every game.
The 27-year-old is expected to slot straight into Julen Lopetegui’s side this season alongside Nayef Aguerd, with West Ham’s first league game coming up against Aston Villa on the 17th of August.
2. Crysencio Summerville – £25m
Crysencio Summerville was one of the brightest sparks in last year’s Championship and after Leeds failed to get promoted, it seemed like only a matter of time until the 22-year-old made his move to a better club.
West Ham were able to pick up Summerville for just £25m, which is a great price considering how well the forward played last year for Leeds.
Summerville picked up 28 goal contributions for Leeds last year in 43 Championship games and he will be hoping to carry that form into the Premier League after making just six appearances last time Leeds were in the top flight.
1. Niklas Fullkrug – £25m
While he may not be the most expensive signing on this list, Niklas Fullkrug was definitely the most important deal for West Ham to get over the line this summer.
The Hammers have struggled for a striker in the past two seasons, with Michail Antonio struggling to keep up his standards alone up front for West Ham.
Niklas Fullkrug joins from Borussia Dortmund and after impressing for the Bundesliga outfit last season as well as for Germany at the Euros this summer, £25m seems like a steal for the 31-year-old.
