Copenhagen vs Manchester United Prediction
Manchester United return to continental action with a Group A clash away at the Parken Stadium against Copenhagen, and they’ll be hoping for a similar outcome to the reverse fixture on matchday 3, in which they narrowly triumphed 1-0.
Of course, that was the Red Devils’ first Champions League win of the campaign, but they followed that up with two 3-0 defeats to Manchester City and Newcastle, before securing a late victory against Fulham at the weekend.
This is in comparison to Copenhagen’s three successive domestic wins since suffering defeat at Old Trafford, although there is a clear difference in quality between the Premier League and the Danish Superliga.
Despite being in excellent form domestically, Copenhagen haven’t been able to transfer that over to European play, and have failed to record a group stage victory in nine matches across the past two seasons.
With that in mind, we at SportsLens are backing Manchester United to do the double over the Danish champions, which will hand them a major boost in their quest for knockout stage qualification.
Prediction: Copenhagen 0-2 Manchester United
Copenhagen vs Manchester United Betting Tips
- Manchester United To Win @ 8/11
- Bruno Fernandes To Score Anytime @ 5/2
- Combined Bet Builder Odds @ 15/4
Copenhagen vs Manchester United Betting Tip 1: Manchester United To Win @ 8/11
Our first tip for your Copenhagen vs Manchester United bet builders is to back the Red Devils to win the tie, priced by many of the UK’s top bookmakers at 8/11.
We at SportsLens expect that this will be the outcome due to the hosts’ poor form in the Champions League over the past two seasons, coupled with the fact that Erik ten Hag’s side were triumphant in the reverse fixture two weeks ago.
The Red Devils haven’t been in the greatest form in recent weeks, but they fought until the very end against Fulham to secure a late victory on Saturday, and we’re backing them to build on that with another win on Wednesday.
Copenhagen vs Manchester United Betting Tip 2: Bruno Fernandes To Score Anytime @ 5/2
He has dominated the headlines for a variety of reasons over the past few weeks, but Bruno Fernandes silenced the doubters at the weekend by netting a 91st minute winner for the Red Devils at Craven Cottage.
It was the Portugal international’s first goal at club level since the end of September when he netted the winner against Burnley, and he is yet to open his account in Europe this term.
We at SportsLens expect that the United skipper will be full of confidence after bagging in the league, and given that he is also his side’s designated penalty taker, we are backing the 29-year-old to net his first European goal of the season by scoring at anytime throughout the fixture, priced at 5/2.
