Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that both Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto could be available for Chelsea’s game against Liverpool next week.
Nkunku And Gusto Injuries
Both Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto signed for Chelsea this time last year, with both staying at their respective clubs until the summer.
Nkunku joined from RB Leipzig for £52m, while Gusto signed for £30.7m from Olympique Lyonnais.
Gusto, who has been impressive at right-back in Reece James’ absence, sat out Chelsea’s 6-1 Carabao Cup semi-final victory over Middlesbrough on Tuesday after picking up an injury against Fulham at the weekend.
Nkunku, on the other hand, has struggled with injuries all season. The French international picked up a knee injury on Chelsea’s preseason tour which ruled him out until December, before picking up a separate hip injury in January.

Pochettino’s Update On Nkunku And Gusto
After qualifying for the Carabao Cup final on Tuesday evening, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has given Blues fans even more reason to be cheerful with his update on the injured duo.
Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s fourth-round FA Cup tie against Aston Villa, the Argentinian coach said: “They could be available for Liverpool on Wednesday, could be.
“We need to see how they are, how they evolve in the next few days. We are positive but we will see.
“But they are not going to be available for tomorrow.”
Chelsea face Liverpool, who sit top of the Premier League table, next week in what will be a dress rehearsal for the Carabao Cup final next month.
On facing Liverpool in the final, Pochettino said: “It’s going to be a tough opponent. It’s a massive challenge for us.
“I think it has the ingredients, the final, for a massive challenge for us. It’s going to be good to face Liverpool. It’s going to be tough but a great final.”
