Bournemouth vs Burnley Preview
It’s 18th versus 19th in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as Burnley head to the south coast to take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in what could be a key fixture in the battle for top flight survival.
Bournemouth are one of two sides remaining in the league yet to record a victory, whilst the Clarets have just one to their name after beating Luton earlier in the month.
The pair are in fairly dreadful form coming into the tie, with the Cherries off the back of three defeats, meanwhile Burnley have suffered two successive losses – in which they’ve conceded a whopping seven goals.
Both sides are amongst the leakiest defences in the Premier League with 20 and 23 goals conceded, respectively, and they are also amongst the sides to have scored the fewest so far this term too.
A win for either side on Saturday would be huge in their quest for survival, as earning three points would lift them out of the bottom three, and past Luton if the Hatters are beaten by Aston Villa.
Bournemouth vs Burnley Team News
Bournemouth Team News
Long-term absentee Tyler Adams remains out for the Cherries and faces several months on the sidelines, and he’s joined by Ryan Fredericks, Emiliano Marcondes and Lewis Cook who are all ruled out.
Cook is suspended for the tie after being red carded against Wolves last time out, which may open a door for Joe Rothwell to start alongside Alex Scott.
Bournemouth Predicted Line-Up
Neto; Aarons, Zabarnyi, Kelly, Kerkez; Scott, Rothwell; Brooks, Billing, Tavernier; Solanke
Burnley Team News
As for the Clarets, they also have to deal with a suspension as Wales international Connor Roberts misses out after being red carded against Brentford in their last match.
Roberts is joined on the sidelines by Jordan Beyer, Hjalmar Ekdal, Johann Gudmundsson, Benson Manuel and Jacob Bruun Larsen who are all expected to miss out through injury.
Burnley Predicted Line-Up
Trafford; Delcroix, Al-Dakhil, O’Shea, Taylor; Cullen, Berge; Tresor, Amdouni, Odobert; Foster
