Only one player that travelled to Qatar from West Ham is expected to miss the clash with Arsenal, after Nayef Aguerd was withdrawn from the Morocco squad shortly before the 2-0 loss to France in the semi-finals before being withdrawn due to illness.
Aguerd is expected to return to Rush Green on the 23rd of December, meaning that the centre back will only get three days back with the squad before the clash with Arsenal.
There are other injury concerns in the Hammers’ squad however, with major doubts over the fitness of Maxwel Cornet, while Aaron Cresswell, Gianluca Scamacca, and Kurt Zouma are all set to miss out.
Arsenal are unsurprisingly the clear favourites to win on Boxing Day, but with Gabriel Jesus expected to miss the clash, as well as William Saliba (who featured only once for France during their World Cup run) the game could be a tight matchup.
