Bahrain Darts Masters Tips On Day One

16:00 Peter Wright vs Haruki Muramatsu – Wright Match Treble (Winner, Highest Out & Most 180s) @ 6/4

There’s an argument that Peter Wright hasn’t been at his best for a while, which is true but with the new year now in full flow, “Snakebite” will be hoping to put 2023 behind him.

He won the first round of this competition last year and we can see him doing it again against Haruki Muramatsu – who has lost all of his last four games in PDC majors.

The match treble for Wright looks to be good value here and we can see it coming in, so it is worth putting in any accumulator.

17:00 Nathan Aspinall vs Lourence Ilagan – Over 3.5 180s @ 11/20

Nathan Aspinall and Lourence Ilagan are solid 180 hitters, and this game can be a top contest on paper so it should be an interesting watch. With no value in Aspinall to win @ 2/9, it’s worth turning to 180s.

“The Asp” was one of the best 180 scorers in the PDC in 2023, with 44 alone on his way to winning the World Matchplay over the summer. As for Illagan, he lost his World Championship game against Matt Campbell, but still managed to smash in three 180s in the process.

Over 3.5 in the game has every chance of going in so is worth including in our four fold acca.

18:00 Luke Littler vs Man Lok Leung – Over 5.5 180s @ 11/10

Luke Littler makes his Bahrain Darts Masters debut in what should be a thrilling game between two strong scorers. Littler hit 63 180s in his run to the World Championship final, finishing second behind winner Luke Humphries in the 180 chart.

As for Man Lok Leung, he certainly knows how to hit a max himself too, after hitting an astonishing 11 in his first round win over Gian Van Veen at Alexandra Palace last month.

It’s highly likely we could see over 5.5 in the game so just over even money is good value with both set to put on a show.

19:30 Michael Smith vs Paolo Nebrida – Smith Match Treble @ 5/6

Michael Smith heads to Bahrain on the back of a disappointing World Championship campaign, but he also comes here defending his title from last year. “Bully Boy” took home the inaugural Bahrain Darts Masters trophy in 2023 and will want to keep up his record in the country.

He faces Paolo Nebrida who is a decent player himself, but Smith should have too much quality and can win this one easily. The match treble presents nice value and completes our Bahrain Darts Masters tips on day one.
