Arsenal vs Burnley Preview
Burnley, who find themselves in the relegation zone after 11 Premier League matches, face a trip down to the English capital on Saturday afternoon as they face off against high-flying Arsenal.
The Clarets have suffered five straight defeats in all competitions, and although it’s expected to be a straight-forward afternoon for the Gunners, Vincent Kompany’s side will be boosted by the fact that their opponents have suffered two successive domestic defeats.
Mikel Arteta’s side were beaten 3-1 by West Ham in the Carabao Cup in their opening game of November, before falling to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United last Saturday.
They have returned to winning ways since then though, as Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka scored a goal apiece to inspire the Gunners to a 2-0 Champions League win over Sevilla in midweek.
A win for either side could be equally as vital, as Burnley can lift themselves out of the bottom three with a victory, while three points for Arsenal will keep the pressure on Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool towards the top of the table.
