There are plenty of Arsenal striker targets being linked with a move to North London, but Dusan Vlahovic’s potential price-tag breathes fresh life into the chances of pursuing him this summer.
Arsenal Striker Targets Exclusive
Last week we revealed how Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic faces an uncertain future in Turin as he waits on the outcome of talks around an extended contract at the club.
As Arsenal consider options for their front line, they have Vlahovic shortlisted just as Juventus clear the way for a future sale that could be as low as £52million.
Such a figure would fit well with where Arsenal appear to be heading in the summer window.
We have revealed how Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee are also prime candidates for Arsenal as transfer targets – and both players come into a similar pricing bracket.
But Vlahovic brings a new level of intrigue given he has experience and pedigree at the top level, and Arsenal have previously considered him as a suitable marksman.
The Gunners are still pursuing this season’s Premier League title and will close in on a new centre-forward in the summer. It is also known that signing a central midfielder and a left-back are top priorities.
The striker will be the signing that is judged most critically as the club look for a reliable top level goalscorer to take them to the next level.
Vlahovic, 24, has scored 16 goals this season and is behind only to Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez in the Serie A scoring charts.
Sources in Italy insist his intention is to stick with the Italian giants for next term, but the chances of him knowing where his future lies will not be confirmed until the summer.
Chelsea could also yet consider Vlahovic, who is soon set to discuss new terms on his Juve contract – his current deal expires in 2026.
However, with Juve already operating on the breadline it is unlikely they have the facilities to offer him improved terms. It is felt he could yet become available on the market – especially if they manage to sign a new forward themselves.
Bologna’s Zirkzee and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface are among names they are looking at.
