Anthony Martial involved in training ground bust-up with Manchester United youngster

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial was involved in a training ground bust-up with under-18s player Dan Gore, according to reports.

Anthony Martial, who was left out of Didier Deschamp’s 26-man France squad to take to the World Cup in Qatar, has remained in Manchester to train at Carrington.

The 26-year-old was involved in a training ground bust-up with 18-year-old Dan Gore who joined United from Burnley in July of last year.

Gore reportedly ‘clattered’ Martial with a robust tackle which sparked an angry confrontation between the pair leading to the training session being halted.

The Frenchman is alleged to have lashed out and caught the teenager who stood his ground against Martial, before apologising to the youngster who was ‘happy to make the peace’.

Martial has two goals in two Premier League starts this season, playing an average of 40 minutes per game whilst suffering from multiple untimely injuries since Erik ten Hag’s arrival.

Ten Hag is a fan of the Louis van Gaal signing and said: “It’s quite clear in my way of playing, I like the type that Martial is.

“Anthony can hold the ball, he’s a target, he can link up, he can also run behind, he has speed, he can finish and he’s a good presser.”
