Arsenal and England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is set for a January move to Wolves due to Mikel Arteta’s preference of David Raya between the sticks.

Since joining the Gunners at the end of the summer window, Raya has claimed the No. 1 spot as his own – leaving Ramsdale an unsettled and frustrated backup to the Spaniard.

Ramsdale returned to the fold for Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Brentford on Saturday, in which Raya was ineligible to feature against his parent club – which could be the former’s final sighting in goal until the FA Cup gets underway in January.

He has been warned by England manager Gareth Southgate that his place in the squad could be under threat without regular playing time and the 25-year-old looks set for a move in the upcoming window.

Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa, who is the subject of strong interest from a number of Saudi Pro League clubs, is expected to depart in January to make room for Ramsdale at Molineux.
