Despite interest from across the Premier League, Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has revealed that Wolves are yet to receive a formal offer for Portuguese star Pedro Neto.
Pedro Neto Transfer Update
Pedro Neto is by far and away Wolves’ most exciting prospect, with the winger valued at around £70million. A move looks likely for Neto, who could be playing at a much higher level than Wolves next season if any club makes a move for him in the coming weeks.
With the Premier League season just over two weeks away, Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has revealed that the club is yet to receive any formal offer from a new team, despite reported interest from across England.
“I know how good he [Neto] is, and I know how well he would do at a big club. Obviously, I want our team here to be unbelievably successful. So I’m hoping that he stays.
“I think so (there’s a chance he stays). There’s nothing going on at this moment from anybody. He’s in a good spot, I’ve spoken to him about how we’re going to play and how it suits him and what a big part he’ll play in it.”
Top clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United have all been linked with Neto in the past and any one of them could strike in the final month of the transfer window.
Neto started just 18 league games last year, scoring two goals and notching up nine assists in a season where the 24-year-old was plagued by a hamstring injury.

“But of course, we’re all grown-ups while you’re having them conversations. If a massive bid comes from a top club then no one is going to stand in Pedro’s way.” O’Neil continued.
“I’m confident that he will be here. Because we haven’t had anything really, that makes the club think that he won’t be. But of course, a lot of business can be done late.”
Wolves’ first Premier League game comes in just over two weeks time when they face off with Arsenal in the opening weekend.
