Fulham are edging closer to a deal with Arsenal for academy product Emile Smith Rowe and with a reported fee of £35m, the transfer would be the biggest outgoing in the club’s history.
Emile Smith Rowe Set For Fulham Move
Despite Arenal’s long history and success at the top of the Premier League, the Gunners have never sold a player for more than £35m. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s transfer to Liverpool in 2017 is currently the club’s largest sale in history at £35m.
Fulham are reportedly willing to spend an initial fee of £35m on Emile Smith Rowe this summer, with add ons making the Hale End academy product the most expensive ever departure from North London.

The reported fee for Smith Rowe is also a record deal for the Cottagers, with Fulham’s most expensive transfer currently Jean Michaël Seri who signed for the club in 2018 for £27m.
Fulham initially bid £30m for Smith Rowe last week but Arsenal were reluctant to let the midfielder go for that price and their London rivals took almost no time increasing the offer to a price the Gunners seem to have accepted.
Smith Rowe was left out of Arsenal’s first pre-season friendly in USA on Wednesday night, which seems to be a clear sign that the 23-year-old is destined for a move across London this summer.
The Englishman did play in a behind closed doors friendly for Arsenal against Leyton Orient last week where he was even spotted wearing the captains armband in what seems to be his last game playing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Smith Rowe made just 13 appearances for Arsenal last season in another campaign that was riddled with injuries. It is his injuries that have constantly set Smith Rowe back at Arsenal and prevented him from fulfilling his potential shown in the academy like teammates such as Bukayo Saka.

Should he be able to maintain his health next year, Smith Rowe could be a very good record signing for Fulham who may finally unlock his full potential.
