Aston Villa have already signed nine players this summer but Unai Emery isn’t done yet, as he plans to try and secure a deal for Joao Felix who would be a dream transfer for the Villa boss.
Unai Emery Keen On Joao Felix
Joao Felix could be on the move yet again this summer and the Barcelona forward may be given another chance in the Premier League, with Aston Villa making him their number one target.
Felix has already played in England for Chelsea in 2022/23, but his loan move with the Blues didn’t exactly go to plan as they refused an offer to buy him and the Portuguese star returned to Atletico Madrid as an outcast.
The 24-year-old didn’t play for Madrid again as Felix made another loan switch for La Liga rivals Barcelona at the beginning of last season, where he played 30 league games scoring seven goals.
Now back at Atletico, Felix’s future is up in the air again, but finally someone seems to have taken a keen interest in the star who was once valued at £113million.

Unai Emery has made Felix a priority transfer ahead of the new season, with just under a month until the Premier League returns midway through August.
Villa have already signed nine players this summer including big names such as Amadou Onana, Ross Barkley, Ian Maatsen, Cameron Archer and Jaden Philogene – spending over £175m in the process.
The Villans did lose one key player this summer, with Douglas Luiz making a move to Juventus in the world’s first ‘couple transfer’ alongside his girlfriend and Swiss international Alisha Lehmann.

However Villa do look likely to lose one of their star wingers in the coming weeks, with Moussa Diaby destined for Saudi Arabia in a move that will see the Frenchman quadruple his salary and pocket Villa around £60m.
Emery sees Felix as a good replacement for Diaby and once his transfer has been confirmed, funding a deal for the out of favour Atletico star shouldn’t be an issue.
Although Atletico Madrid haven’t put a price on Joao Felix, his buy option when he was on loan at Barcelona was around £70m, but Villa could easily get a deal done for much less than that with Atletico looking to offload Felix.
