Crystal Palace will sack Roy Hodgson and it looks like they’ve already found his replacement.

When will Roy Hodgson be sacked?

Hodgson could officially get the sack before Crystal Palace’s next Premier League game against Everton as Eagles chairman Steve Parish has seemingly run out of patience with the 76-year-old veteran manger.

Hodgson’s contract is up at the end of the season but Palace have been sliding towards the relegation zone after recording just two wins since November.

Hodgson was appointed last March and successfully managed to keep the South Londoners in the Premier League after Patrick Vieira was shown the door.

Palace fans have recently expressed their discontent at the former England boss’ tactics and now his time at Selhurst Park appears to be up.

It will be the second time that Hodgson will leave Crystal Palace. In 2021, he announced his retirement from football before returning in 2023.

Crystal Palace are now 15th in the Premier League and five points outside the relegation zone.

Who will Crystal Palace bring in?

Crystal Palace are looking to bring in Austrian manager Oliver Glasner.

Glasner led Eintracht Frankfurt to Europa League glory in 2022 and has also been in charge of Wolfsburg and LASK.

The 49-year-old is currently out-of-work and a job in the Premier League will prove highly tempting.

When is Crystal Palace’s next game?

Crystal Palace travel to Merseyside next to play Everton in what will be a crucial six-pointer. The Eagles could stretch the gap to eight points – leaving Everton in trouble.

If Everton win, then it’ll just be two points that separates the Toffees and the Eagles.

Everton v Crystal Palace will be broadcasted on Sky Sports Premier League on Monday 19th February. The game has a kick-off time of 8pm.
