The latest Newcastle transfer exclusive reveals that the club may consider selling Kieran Trippier if the money is right, with offers set to come in from top European sides.

Kieran Trippier Could Be Sold By Magpies

Newcastle United are having to contemplate how they will deal with a formal bid for Kieran Trippier. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are showing interest in the Toon right-back and an offer is anticipated soon.

Trippier has been one of Newcastle’s outstanding players under Eddie Howe and as a main leader of the team his absence would be felt hugely. Yet the Magpies already have Tino Livramento on board as his long-term successor, and bringing in cash for Trippier would be more likely than some other big-name players – and may even allow room for manoeuvre themselves before deadline day.

Insiders believe a market valuation of 33-year-old Trippier may be around £15million – but he is also one of Newcastle’s highest earners.

We reported recently how Howe has no intention to move on star names like Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes or Sven Botman, but a bid for Trippier may yet be considered.

The player’s view on such a transfer will be interesting but a move to the Bundesliga could be of interest to Trippier, given they also have English players Harry Kane and Eric Dier on board.

Tino Livramento Seen As Successor To Trippier

Trippier’s current contract with Newcastle is set to expire in June 2025. Newcastle have worked to cover themselves for a scenario like this emerging thanks to Livramento’s move from Southampton for £30million.

When he joined the club in August, it was in mind of being back-up to Trippier in the squad – but then being ready to step up to replace him. He has produced some very impressive performances already and would relish the chance to play regularly.

Livramento has been sidelined recently with illness but it is thought he could be back in time to face Fulham in the FA Cup next weekend.
