West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus has a higher market than nearly half of the teams competing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ghanaian attacking midfielder will be one of the most recognisable names to feature in the tournament and will be pivotal to the Black Stars chances of success.

Kudus has made a brilliant start to his Hammers career and fans will be keen to see him replicate his stunning form in the Ivory Coast over the next month.

It’s been over 40 years since Ghana last won the AFCON and if this is to be their year, it’s more than likely that Kudus will be one of the main culprits behind their triumph.

Kudus West Ham Stats

Mohammed Kudus has proven to be one of the signings of the season since switching the Johan Cruyff Arena for the London Stadium in the summer of 2023.

Costing £38m from the Dutch giants, Kudus has wasted little time in finding his feet for David Moyes‘ side and has developed a strong relationship with his teammates.

Swapping the Eredivisie for the Premier League has come very naturally for the 23-year old and at the time of writing, he has scored six goals and provided one assist in England’s elite.

Across all competitions, Kudus has scored 13 times in 27 outings for both clubs this season which also included a hat-trick against Ludogorets in UEFA Europa League qualifying.

Kudus Market Value

According to Transfermarkt.com, Mohammed Kudus is valued at €45m which is more than the entire squad valuations of 11 countries that will be featuring in Africa’s most famous football tournament.

Kudus has a higher market value than Gambia, Zambia, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, South Africa, Mauritania, Equatorial Guinea, Namibia and Tanzania.

In fact, Kudus is worth more than double South Africa’s squad and an impressive six times more than lowly ranked nations Namibia and Tanzania.

Only Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen (€110m), Egypt’s Mo Salah (€65m) and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi (€65m) have a higher market value than the Ghana star.

Kudus 2023 AFCON Betting

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations kicks-off on January 13th with hosts Ivory Coast taking on Guinea-Bissau with the final pencilled in for February 11th.

Mohammed Kudus will be hoping to be part of the showpiece event next month and the best UK betting sites price Ghana at 14/1 to win the tournament.

Kudus can be backed at 40/1 to finish as the top scorer which on current club form, isn’t worth ignoring too lightly and provides great value.

Whatever happens over the course of the next month, Kudus and the Black Stars will be sure to excite on Africa’s biggest stage and he will likely go on to add to his impressive market value.
