Second place Liverpool kick off the action in the early tie against Crystal Palace, as they look to keep to climb to the top of the table – albeit for just a few hours. The Reds are just two points behind table toppers Arsenal after beating Sheffield United on Wednesday, meanwhile the Eagles find themselves in a lowly-14th after failing to record a win in their last four matches.
The standout fixture for the 15:00 kick-offs sees Manchester United welcome an in-form Bournemouth to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils looking to go level on points with the reigning champions by coming out on top in this one.
Also at 15:00, Brighton host relegation strugglers Burnley off the back of a narrow 2-1 win over Brentford in which academy graduate Jack Hinshelwood netted his first ever Premier League goal to ensure the victory. The Clarets on the other hand, were edged out 1-0 by Wolves on Tuesday night with Hwang Hee-chan’s first half effort the difference come the full-time whistle.
Other 15:00 ties see last place Sheffield United welcome Brentford to Bramall Lane for Chris Wilder’s second game since returning after the sacking of Paul Heckingbottom, while struggling Nottingham Forest travel to Molineux to take on Wolves.
To close out Saturday’s action, Aston Villa host league leaders Arsenal off the back of a majorly impressive 1-0 win over Manchester City. Leon Bailey’s goal ensured all three points on Wednesday, extending the Villans’ winning run at home in the league to 14 straight matches, while propelling them to third place in the table. The Gunners left it late in their gameweek 15 fixture, with Declan Rice netting an injury time header to rescue the points in a seven goal thriller against Luton on Tuesday.
