Nico Paz has joined an elite list of players following his goal against Napoli in the Champions League, as he becomes Real Madrid’s third youngest goalscorer in the competition.

Who Is Nico Paz?
In 2016, Nico Paz joined Real Madrid’s academy from Tenerife, where he came as a central defender before moving further forward as year went by.
In January 2022, the teenager made his debut for Real Madrid B – coming on as a substitute in a 3-1 win over Andorra.
So far in the Spanish third division 2023-24, the 19-year-old has scored 10 goals and contributed with one assist – earning a place in the first team.
Carlo Ancelotti gave the youngster his La Liga debut against Valencia on November 11th 2023, as Nico Paz got eight minutes before getting his second appearance a week later against Cadiz.
His debut in the Champions League also came this season, as the Spaniard came on in the 77th minute in Madrid’s 3-0 win over Braga.
Los Blancos secured qualification to the round of 16 with a 4-2 win over Napoli and Nico Paz scored his first goal for the senior team.
Napoli took the lead through Giovanni Simeone, but Madrid turned things around instantly as Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham found the target.
The Italin side levelled moments into the second half thanks to Frank Anguissa, but Nico Paz had other ideas. The teenager scored from distance to give his side the lead and became the clubs third youngest scorer in the Champions League.
