Manchester City vs RB Leipzig Preview
Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City side can secure top spot in Group G with a game to spare if they can avoid defeat against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
The Cityzens are unbeaten in seven straight matches since losing to Arsenal near the beginning of October, with two wins in Europe’s premier competition against Young Boys coming amidst that run.
However, they have dropped four points from their last two Premier League matches, throwing away leads late on against both Chelsea and Liverpool either side of the international window to play out 4-4 and 1-1 stalemates.
Despite drawing level in the reverse fixture, RB Leipzig were beaten 3-1 by City at the Red Bull Arena at the start of October and they have since gone on to win both of their following Champions League matches.
Both wins came over Red Star Belgrade, with the most recent ending 2-1 in Leipzig’s favour, and they’ve followed that up with a 3-1 victory over Freiburg, and a 2-1 defeat to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
