Jude Bellingham as become one of the most talked about footballers since his move to Real Madrid in the summer. He’s been a star player for his club and country over the past few months and now has broken a record that was held by Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

What is the record?

Bellingham has scored 14 goals in his first 15 appearances for Madrid, the most in such a time in the club’s history. Ronaldo held the record with Alfredo di Stefano and Pruden Sanchez as they scored 13 goals in their opening 15.

Bellingham also assisted in the 3-0 win over Cadiz to top off a great performance.

The midfielder scored his first La Liga goal on the opening day of the campaign in a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao. He then went on to score in each of the club’s first four games.

Other Bellingham achievements

The Englishman has 11 man of the match awards for club and country so far this season. The 20-year-old recently won the golden boy award at the 2023 Ballon d’or.

Many expected Bellingham to thrive after his £115m move from Borussia Dortmund but i don’t think they expected it’d turn out as good as this. Bellingham has no doubt cemented himself as ‘signing of the summer.’

Can Bellingham bring this form to the Euros?

If Bellingham manages to stay fit, he will be key to Gareth Southgate’s bid to win the Euros for the first time for England. Despite not featuring in England’s last couple of matches due to a shoulder problem, his performances in other England games have been spectacular picking up man of the match awards against Scotland and Italy.

England’s performances against Malta and North Macedonia were lacklustre which might’ve had something to do with the 20-year-old being absent. He has become a real catalyst for England’s attacking play.

Bellingham got England’s first goal in the World Cup last November in a 6-2 win over Iran. It turned out to be a disappointing campaign for England as they only managed to reach the quarter-finals before getting knocked out by France.
